Wow...can you say that backwards...WOW. What a ride it has been over the last 6 weeks. We are settling into our sweet house that Phil picked out for us. Truly, I love it. It is smaller than our previous house and I must say, I enjoy it. It takes me way less time to clean and we still have room for everything we need.
I have so much to tell and so many pictures to take and share, but I am just THRILLED to have internet service. Anyway...we are now Californians and trying to love it. I must admit some days are harder than others. I miss my friends and family so much. It is hard to imagine that I am truly living this far away from all of them. But, the alternative is unemployment so we will stick with this (hee hee!!). Soon enough, this will all feel like home and we will think back on how sappy and pathetic we were.
I could ramble on for hours but that wouldn't make for an interesting blog. I just wanted to post something new (this one is for you Kelly!!!). Our e-mail address has changed - we will send that out at a later date. Of course, you can leave comments on the blog and that would be wonderful.
Love to all....

Jeff and I grew up in the Bay area and we LOVE Napa. I am sure you will have lots of company:-)
Wishing you all the best and Merry Christmas!
love, Terri
I've been thinking about you! So glad to hear you are there and getting yourself settled. Give yourself some time. I know you are MUCH further away from home then we are but there was still quite an adjustment period for us. I would say...give it at least 6 months before you feel comfortable again (finding your favorite grocery store, library, parks, church and new friends...ect). It took me awhile but I can honestly say that I LOVE it here and am so glad we made the move. At this point it is hard to imagine going home.
I will be thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.
Much love,
Jodi
